Drysdale (Launceston) Campus
About
Located on Paterson Street, Drysdale Campus Launceston is just a short walk from Launceston’s bustling city centre, and is right across the road from the picturesque Royal and Kings parks.
Drysdale Launceston provides specialist tourism, hospitality and cookery training for the north of Tasmania in a bright and modern building, and is set up to equip you with the hands-on practical experience you need to be successful in your future career.
Featuring commercial kitchens, barista training area and a licensed bar, Drysdale Launceston also has an industrial onsite food composter which is used to turn food waste into fertiliser, that is then used on our kitchen garden to enrich the soil and grow vegetables and herbs that are then used in our cookery classes.
Drysdale Campus Launceston is also home to our northern training restaurant, which is open to the public during term time for lunch, dinner, Thursday night drinks and private bookings for special events.
The restaurant is the training ground for Tasmania’s future chefs and hospitality staff, and allows our cookery and hospitality students to undertake practical training in a commercial kitchen, preparing and serving a range of delicious food and beverages direct to patrons.
For opening times, including holiday opening hours, please check with the Drysdale Restaurant or call to make a booking on 1300 655 307.
