Advice to Applicant

The Advice to Applicants document has detailed information about the type of content you need to include in your resume and application.

Prior to applying

Prior to applying for the vacancy have a two page cover letter and your resume available – you will need to upload these documents to the system. Have your referee details available including their contact number and email.

Essential Requirements

All positions will have essential requirements, please ensure you check these requirements which are detailed in the Position Description. If you have this evidence available, you must upload this at the time that you apply.

*To be eligible for appointment on a permanent or fixed term basis with TasTAFE, you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or be eligible to hold and meet any visa requirements as determined by the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs and the Migration Act 1958. For more information on visa requirements please refer to www.immi.gov.au.

• You need a valid email address to apply for a vacancy.
• You can upload your resume into the system when initially applying. This will prefill some of your personal information on the system. You must check the prefill information and complete any empty fields.
• You can save and exit from an application at any time to return to later.
• Documents must be uploaded in one of the following formats: .DOC, .DOCx, .PDF, .TXT, .RTF. Uploading a file of any other type may result in your documents not being accepted by the PageUp system.
• You will receive an email acknowledgement to your nominated email address once your application has been received.
• If you have applied for a job before you can access the system from Existing Applicant Login

• If you are shortlisted to participate further in the selection process the panel will contact you.
• If you are not shortlisted, you will receive an email advising this.

How do I change my password?

Select the Existing Applicant Login from the Careers website and you will be able to update your password, or you can click “Don’t know your password?” and enter your email address.

I’ve forgotten my password?

Once you are at the PageUp Login page click “Don’t know your password?” and enter your email address.

I’m having trouble uploading my application, what do I do?

Check that your documents are in one of the following formats to be uploaded: .DOC, .PDF, .DOCX, .JPEG, .TXT, .RTF.

How will I know my application has been received?

You will receive an email confirming receipt of your application. As this email is issued from the PageUp system your email service provider may move this email to your spam, junk or deleted items folder.

If you have not received an email prior to the closing date, please review the application status from your PageUp login profile or contact TasTAFE Recruitment - recruitment@tastafe.tas.edu.au
