Make a successful transition from school to adult life by gaining the basic skills to participate in work, further education and training, or other community options.
Designed for people with an intellectual disability or cognitive impairment, this free Transition Education program focuses on providing you with the skills you’ll need to be prepared for employment, further education and training, or other options in the community.
In this course, you will be supported to develop a personal goals plan and identify the skills you need to prepare for employment or community participation.
You’ll develop travel and transport skills, skills to access community and government services, technology and independent living skills and also learn how to contribute to the workforce as a volunteer.
You’ll also have the opportunity to explore your self-development, make plans for the future, and develop skills to support your health and wellbeing.
On successful completion of this course, you will have developed a range of practical skills that will help you to be successful at work and the community. You will also receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed.
