This Initial Health and Safety Representative (HSR) course is designed for HSRs and deputy HSRs. This course is approved by WorkSafe Tasmania. It is also useful for anyone interested in a short, comprehensive, face to face WHS course.
The course includes:
- WHS legal framework, duties, rights and responsibilities.
- Consultation, problem solving and issue resolution.
- Managing WHS risks, hazard identification, risk assessment, control and review.
- Incident investigations, ceasing work and issuing provisional improvement notices.
It’s delivered in the classroom over four days at the Launceston, Hobart, Devonport and Burnie campuses. Courses can also be arranged at your workplace if there are sufficient numbers.
