Are you looking for a pathway to Individual Support?

This course is designed as an entry level skill set for people considering working in aged care, home and community care and disability and would also suit people who may already be working as a Level 1 home care worker or working in Disability and wish to attain three accredited units.

This course provides an Introduction to care / support work and provides underpinning skills and knowledge for people who may want to go onto further study and complete a Certificate III in Individual Support.

The skill set comprises three units from the current Certificate III in Individual Support and is delivered on campus over 12 class sessions.

In this course you will learn how to work safely, follow infection control practices and provide first aid.

The course provides information about the types of job roles in the Care & Support including duty of care, working responsibly and strategies on how to ensure individuals are supported to be as independent as possible.
