For many Tasmanians, undertaking education or training can be financially challenging, which is why we offer a range of scholarships in partnership with industry, local government and community groups throughout the year.

Destination Australia

Destination Australia Scholarships are funded by the Commonwealth as part of the Destination Australia Program and aim to attract more International and high performing Australian students looking to undertake education and training opportunities in regional areas.

The scholarships are valued at $15,000 per calendar year.

Clayton Utz Women in Construction Scholarship Fund 2025

This scholarship supports Tasmanian women pursuing a TasTAFE qualification in the construction industry by helping to reduce financial barriers to participation and completion of training.

Clayton Utz is offering up to three scholarships per region (South, North and North-West), with each scholarship valued at $3,330.

Eligibility is as follows:

  • Eligible learners must be female and enrolled in a full TasTAFE qualification related to the construction sector in Semester 1, 2025
  • The scholarship can be used for course fees, PPE, tools, travel and other training-related expenses. A short application form and personal statement are required.

Soroptimist International of Devonport TasTAFE Scholarship

Soroptimist International is a global organisation for women committed to advancing human rights and the status of women.

The Soroptimist Club of Devonport is offering a scholarship to at least one female learner who has returned to study and is currently continuing with their studies at the Devonport Campus of TasTAFE.

To apply you must be able to demonstrate a determination to succeed at your studies. The scholarship can be used to support course costs, textbooks, materials or subscriptions.

The scholarship is valued at $500, eligibility criteria apply.

Tasmania Police Charity Trust Scholarship Fund 2025

The Tasmania Police Charity Trust Scholarship Fund supports Tasmanians beginning a TasTAFE qualification by offering up to $2,000 to help with study-related costs. Up to three scholarships are available in each major region (south, north, and north-west), aimed at removing financial barriers to education.

Special consideration is given to applicants facing challenges such as family or life circumstances, including those with lived experience of family violence. Scholarships are open to students enrolled in a full TasTAFE qualification starting in Semester 1, 2025, including Fee-Free TAFE courses.
