Does the thrill of working in an exciting, fast-paced environment appeal to you? Get job-ready for a range of entry level roles in the hospitality industry and become part of one of the fastest growing industries in Tasmania!
Over six weeks full-time, you will get hands-on experience in a working restaurant environment, including food and beverage service. You will learn about using hygienic practices for food safety, as well as gain the skills and knowledge to interact confidently with customers. In this course, you will also learn how to prepare and serve a great espresso coffee!
The course is a combination of online and on-campus delivery. You will also put your newly acquired skills and knowledge into practice during several evening restaurant services shifts in the Drysdale Restaurant.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units successfully completed including your Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification. You’ll be ready to seek entry level, front-of-house roles in restaurants, cafes and hotels.
